Transend Corporation // Web Design, eCommerce Solution Case Study

February 11, 2014 | Posted in B2B and tagged , , , , ,

After over 25 years in the business, few understand change – and the importance of all the details involved – better than Transend Corp. This Silicon Valley-based email company has turned email migration into an art form, successfully converting over 20 million mailboxes for large and small organizations spanning the globe. Transend Corp. attributes their success to focusing on one thing and one thing only – email communications – and doing it better than anyone else.

When it came time to make a change of their own, Transend Corp. looked to Somethumb to do what we do best – redesign a custom website that would allow Transend to offer their products to customers in new ways and would also be easy to manage from an administrative standpoint.

The Plan

Transend Corp. prides itself on its ability to offer customized solutions for any client. While their product line has three main migratory focuses, each of the migration software choices can offer countless variations to meet their clients’ needs. An eCommerce platform was needed that could accommodate these customized selections, from ordering to software activation.

The Design

With their objectives clearly laid out, Somethumb set to work designing a brand new custom self-hosted WordPress-based site. WooCommerce was chosen as the eCommerce solution for its impressive flexibility. To further customize the user experience, Somethumb turned to Gravity Forms along with some additional in-house development, which allowed them to capture the various software selection choices.

The Result

Transend’s new website is a design we are particularly proud of. Every detail has been thought out to enhance the visitor’s experience.

Despite an impressive amount of information contained within the site, the interface remains clean and easy to navigate with everything laid out in an attractive, logical manner. Videos abound, containing everything from information about Transend Corp. to tutorials on using their email migration products.

Purchasing options are clearly explained step by step, and software activation is achieved by connecting to a licensing company via a custom software tool designed by Somethumb.

Additional information on Transend is readily available in the sidebar links, where one can find a list of satisfied customers and testimonials, case studies and white papers.

Transend Corp. staff are easily able to edit the website on their own through a web-based tool, allowing them to make changes intuitively.

With the help of Somethumb and their new website design, Transend Corp. can now continue to do what they do best.
